gets interesting at 7.40mins - Please comment - 6-7pm 22nd August 2008, waiting to be picked up to go to a football game when I spotted this light in the sky. It was brighter than any of the usual night sky lights which is why it took my fancy and brighter then any planes I normally see flying towards me which land some distance behind at the nearby Brisbane airport. It was a clear evening, i could'nt see any clouds, although during the day it had been cloudy. It seemed to be descending, downwards and to the left. I had to change camera height 3 times to compensate for this downward direction as it was being blocked by the building in front. Finally I was on a ladder headed up to the roof when it dissapeared for some time only to suddenly appear brighter than before, pulsating then took off to the right. I cant begin to estimate how far it was away but it was inland and west of Brisbane city. The speed at which it takes off I cant compare to any plane or contraption that I know of and because it was at a considerable distance away it must have been moving very fast? What do you think? I've seen quite a few strange lights in the sky and have always believed something else is out there but when I caught this I've found myself a little sceptical about it. Basicly I discounted that it was a plane or helicopter because it travels so fast. As far as I know, no other sighting was reported that night. Love to know what you all think.
